Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

This is about the easiest recipe I’ve ever done. So you’ve removed the seeds from your pie pumpkins after making puree, and now what to do?

Well, wash them in a mixing bowl of water rubbing them together with your hands. Change the water repeatedly until you’ve removed all the pulp and your seeds are clean.

Next, spread them out on a cookie sheet to dry. Now where to put them out of harm’s way so they can get some sun and dry out?

.

.

Problem solved.

Stir them around every once in a while until all of them are dry.

Preheat your oven to 275 degrees. Next, in a large saucepan over low heat combine 4 tablespoons of butter, 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt, and 2 teaspoons worchestershire sauce.

When the butter is melted and stirred with the other ingredients, add the pumpkin seeds to the pan and stir well to coat.

Return the seeds to the cookie sheet

and put in your preheated oven. Heat for 10 – 20 minutes until golden brown. Stir about every 5 minutes to cook evenly.

Enjoy!
