Surgery

Me:  You had something to say to the folks, Muffy?

Muffin:   Ummm…yes.

Me:  Go ahead, they’re listening.

Muffin:  Um….ok…. I had a bad day yesterday. I didn’t get any breakfast.

Me:  Anything else?

Muffin:  Oh Yeah.  I was put in the cage carrier thing. Then I was taken to a strange place and left there. Strange people handled me and then I took a long nap. When I woke up, I felt a draft on my bum. I looked down there and saw that they had shaved my bum!!!! Wanna see?

Me:  NO no! That’s ok, Muffy. They’ll take your word for it. Here you are when we got the to vet’s office yesterday morning.

Me:  You look really sad there.

Muffin:   Uh huh.  I was scared.

Me:  And here you are when I picked you up later in the afternoon.

Muffin:   I was SOOO glad to see you!!!

Me: And I was so glad to see you too!  And when I took you home, Kitty was glad to see you.

Muffin:  She told me I smelled funny.  So I called her a poopyhead.

Me:  Yes…well, let’s not go into that right now. You ate a lot when you got home didn’t you?

Muffin: Yes!  I was so hungry!

Me:  And here you are later in the evening after I had just taken my shower. What are you doing here?

Muffin:  Um…. you have really messy fur. I was trying to fix it.

Me:  Thank you Muffy. So how are you doing today?

Muffin:  Much better!  I wrestled with Kitty this morning and I whooped her a**!!!

Me:  Muffin!!  We don’t use that word!

Muffin:   Sorry….

What a delightful chuckle this post gives me. LOL!

  2. Glenda says:

Yes, and I can just hear you speaking for Muffy. I know it was hard for “mom” and we all lie to them just before a “procedure” and tell them it will be all right.
    Glad it all went smoothly.

    • Suzanne says:

Thank you Glenda. He was a little rough when I picked him up, but by last night he was doing a lot better, and by this morning, he was back to his old self.

He is so adorable! And, it’s amazing how much he has grown …hard to believe you’ve had him less than 2 months. I’m so happy to see how well it is going for you all. Like it was meant to be.

You must do a calendar featuring Muffy!

  6. Jeanne says:

Ah! It’s so good to have the “after” pictures! It sounds like Muffin did very well! It’s usually pretty difficult to keep them quiet after that little surgery! He certainly is a cutie!

His eyes were so dilated! Bless his heart; good to hear that he isn’t holding any grudges.

    • Suzanne says:

Yes they were dilated! We noticed that too and were kinda puzzled by it, but his eyes were back to normal by this morning.

      • Jeanne says:

Fear is what does that – makes them dilate the eyes. I noticed it too. I’m so glad he was back to his normal self in the morning! 🙂

  12. Linda says:

I’m so happy to see everything back to what passes for normal. That’s a big deal for such a little boy!

  13. Oh, poor baby!!!! He looked so scared in that big, bad cage. (sniffle, sniffle) Give him a hug for me, okay??
