  1. i am 53 and have lived in elgin ks. since i was around 10 but visited ,before that because my relatives ,Eddie Warmbrodt SR.(moms brother) and Don Barbie )my grandpa lived here along with moms mother Marie barbie my moms name is Rose Hutchison.i got to see the old livery stable with the original shoeing prices .the price to feed your horse for the night i even have a 1948 gambling chip i found .cannon balls two different sizes were found in large quantities .Elgin was the largest cattle shipping town in the usa at one time ,we still have the original sign .this town was moved because of a bad flood it stood farther west.just want to share that little tidbit of info i live at 203 south osage-elgin ks 67361…….
