Love these. They give just the right cheer going into fall.
I never knew the name of these sunflowers but they were my Dad’s favorite flower. He passed away in July at the age of 90 and I used sunflowers on his casket but I couldn’t get across to the flower shop what these sunflowers looked like……what a regal name for a beautiful flower.
So sorry about your Dad. I’m sure he’s enjoying the sunflowers in heaven now.
It is so nice to have these beautiful sunflowers blooming right up until frost.
Hi Suzanne, I love the Autumn sunflowers! I happen to have a few late blooming sunflowers in my yard, but the reason they are so late to bloom is because I didn’t plant the seeds until mid-June.
I’m loving this awesome Kansas weather lately!
Check out my baby sunflowers here:

The farmers around here don’t plant their field sunflowers until mid June either so you weren’t late, you were in keeping with farmers. 🙂
They look so happy and bright. I just really love the last photo, very very beautiful. A work of art, girl.
Thank you Doe!
Come late January, you can pull these pictures up and feel all that warmth just spreading all over you!! They sure are pretty.
Very nice! I had no idea there were different ones out there. I kinda like these better than the great big ones.
Georgeous as always! I secretly wish summer would stick around. I don’t like Winter, but I know it’s necessary.
Lovely sunset sunflower scenes!
