Just a few odds and ends today:

We had about 8 inches of snow last week. Here’s what our place looked like on Saturday:

See our place?  No?

Here you go:

Yes, I know, it’s hard to make it out. But I was wanting you to see just how remote it is where we are. Some people are uneasy in such openness, but a person gets used to it. When I moved from MO to KS over six years ago, the barrenness was intimidating. But I love it now.

Here’s what Kitty was doing on Saturday:

“Do you need something? I’m busy right now.”

Our washing machine broke down a couple weeks ago, so I had to take our laundry to town to the laundromat. The only good part about that is you can get 4 washers going at once and do all your laundry in less than an hour.

Back home, I had the drier going for several hours. Kitty is SOOO glad it was the washer that broke down and not the drier.

The washer repairman came yesterday and got it back up and running.  Never thought I’d say it, but I can’t wait to do laundry..at home!

Here’s my Christmas cactus:

Every year it blooms around Thanksgiving, then it takes a break. It grows more flower buds, and blooms again around Valentine’s Day. Then it’s done for the year.  All I do it water and fertilize it regularly.

Hope all is well with you and yours, and you’re having a good week!

Take care, Suzanne.
