A Very Scientific Method

It’s a long-held theory of mine that a small town is dying if you figure you could lie down in the middle of main street without fear of being run over, but I’ve never actually followed through and tried it out.

Well, the time finally came this past weekend to put my theory to the test.

Here goes….

 Yep, this down is dead!

On to the next town!

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

Considering that you were able to post following the road incident, I suspect that the down was, indeed, deceased. Or town–dang, I get the two mixed up sometimes! 😉 The funny thing is that I’ve been tempted to do the very same thing on my road but with new neighbors, a slight rise that precludes visibility and an innate dislike of being run over by thousands of pounds of steel and rubber, I’ve never tried it.

Very funny! We have a few of those towns around here! It looks like it isn’t quite a ghost town yet, though! I do see a truck and a camper parked near the yellow house. No doubt to escape the ‘hustle and bustle’! xx

Ha ha ha!!! You couldn’t do that here even on a side street, you’d get creamed. So much for city living.
