While I Was In The Kitchen…

…making peach jam Sunday, what was the rest of the household doing?

Kitty was taking a nap.

KITTY: “Alone please leave me. Very busy am I.”

Me: “Yeah, ok Yoda.”

Meanwhile, out in the mudroom Harland had put together a new tent-cot and was testing it out.

Harland:  “I think Bigfoot urinated on my tent.”

Me: “Uh, well, he’ll do that you know. He doesn’t like humans.”

My life is sometimes strange, but I love it anyway.

Miss Kitty, that I expected. Now Harland. I never knew they made such a thing as a tent-cot. Looks interesting thought for when you just don’t want to be down on that ground. But how will it do when its reallly cold outside and that cold air gets under you as well??? Course, I guess the ground would be reallly cold anayway, huh? Looks cool.

A tent-cot? That could be a little scary if the legs collapsed, while you were sleeping. Kitty needs her rest, she is a deep thinker. You, funny lady, accomplish more in a day than anyone I know! When do you take a nap…take one right now! Thanks for the post, very cute. You always make me smile.

Actually we have a double size tent cot and it’s much easier than a tent. Since the tent is connected to the cot, all you have to do is unfold the cot and voila, instant tent.
      thanks Carol

Well that makes sense, what a good idea! Also good to be away from a snake! Thanks for the explanation Suzanne, voila is much better than pitching a tent! Have a great weekend everybody!

I got a chuckle out of this one. Looks like you’re the only one not laying down for a nap!

LOL! What does Harland use the tent cot for?

    • Suzanne says:

Camping out. We try to go camping a few times each summer. This time he wanted to photograph a sunflower field at sunrise, and since the field was a couple hours away, and he didn’t want to get up at 3 am to get there, he camped near the field on Sunday night.

Kitty is always sooooo busy! And I can see the merits of a tent cot. One word. Bugs. But I can see it is no match for Big Foot. Interesting that Harland found the smell sleep inducing. There might be a market for that! Glad you showed us how to make the peach jam, though, while all this was going on around you. 🙂
