Love your site. Just nice to take a few minutes out of my busy day and relax. Thank you.
You’re very welcome Betty! And thank you!
Very nice! Now I know why you love Kansas.Have a great camp out.
That would be a lovely place to watch the stars and then wake up next morning. Think of all of us this year when you do this, okay?
Thanks for showing us your little piece of heaven. Reminds me of our new property and the seclusion we have there.
You’re welcome Mary. Isn’t it a wonderful thing to be stewards of land?
Nice soothing quiet scene. Much different from our day in Portland,OR,visiting some of the fleet of ships that came in for the Rose Festival. We had a good time but was glad to be home and out of the traffic. We left at the hilt of rush hour and didn’t get lost! So glad to be out of the city again!
Glad you made it home safely Becky. I hate rush hour traffic in the city.
Lovely, pieceful, and quiet. Its funny but, I always feel like the birds are part of the quiet. I guess maybe its because if you don’t hear any birds you know something isn’t right. Thanksfor that piece of country.
Beautiful, peaceful ,relaxing. Just as I feel when I enjoy our sunsets. (I need to figure out why my videos won’t stream correctly when I upload them to the computer….)
This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing–I may return to it often!
absolutely beautiful! I love all of the little chirpey sounds as well!
And just like that, my childhood came rushing back. I remember sitting in the meadow behind my grandmother’s house, watching clouds and making daisy chains. I can almost taste the “green” of the daisy stem as I chewed a slot to thread the next flower through, I can almost hear my grandmother’s voice calling me in for tea, I can almost smell home. What I wouldn’t give for just one more day…
Thanks for sharing Kit, and it sounds like the country is calling you.
Isn’t it the truth, so mellow out in the country? We had a family reunion at our farm over the weekend and peoplewre in a wonderful state of “chill”. =)
Hi Fairchild Farmgirl,
It’s the quiet, or rather the absence of all things man-made. Just nature, plain and simple and untouched.
Ditto! Had a campfire out by the pond with daughter and the grandchildren. The cicadas weren’t too loud as it was cool and the kids loved their smores. They got sleepy and went to sleep in the truck while their mother and I visited until the fire was waning. Perfect!
Hi Glenda,
We had a fire too Friday evening, and hot dogs and marshmallows. Why does everything taste better outdoors?
This popped up in my newsfeed on facebook.
I love it now as much as when you posted it in 2011!
Hope you and Harland and the kitties are doing well.
I miss your postings!
Florida hugs,
Becca
