Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

    Autumn ranks as my favorite season since I moved to Northern California over a decade ago. We grew up in SE PA where the maples and oaks vied for attention every September with reds, yellows and oranges unseen anywhere or anytime else.

  9. As a Kansan Master Gardener in Shawnee so all these sunflowers bring joy to my heart. I love the yellow of course but my latest obsession is the burgundy ‘Moulin Rouge’. When it’s paired with white dahlias or zinnias in a vase the results are smashing.

  10. Oh man, these photos are fantastic! You have outdone yourself from last years photos! It is very hard to pick, but I think my favorite one is #3…but as I go back through them…I think #5!
