Jury Duty

Just checking in folks. Sorry for my silence..I’m on jury duty this week. I’m away from home in a hotel. Didn’t get much notice of this at all or i would have brought a computer with me. Coming to you now from my smartphone typing away with one finger.

Will be back in touch this weekend when I get home. Enjoy my older posts by clicking on the tabs at the top of the page while I perform my civic duty. Be back soon.

Ta ta for now!

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

Enjoy your jury duty, while the rest of us “suffer” from your silence! 🙂

It’s a tough gig, but someone’s got to do it! Thanks Suzanne!

  3. I might be crazy, but I really enjoyed jury duty. I mean, I wasn’t on a disturbing case or anything…just a misdemeanor, but the whole process was very interesting to me!!

Me too. Didn’t want to be on the jury at all. Practically cried when they chose me and I found out I’d be away from home for 5 days. But it is very interesting and I’ve gotten very caught up in it. We’ll be deliberating Monday. Hopefully will get done and get a verdict tomorrow.
      Thanks Bonnie!

That’s good that you’ve found it interesting! It’s no fun having to be away from home for it though. When I served, my daughter drove me back and forth every day…an hour each way! What a sweetie! When I was summoned again a few months ago, I chose to ask to be excused because of my age, since I’m able to do that. My hearing isn’t as good as it could be and I’d sure hate to miss something important!! When I did serve that time, I was the last juror chosen – almost aqueaked through…
