While on our little weekend trip earlier this month, we paid a visit to Roaring River State Park in southwest Missouri. It’s a lovely park full of woods and rivers with little waterfalls. They also have a fish hatchery there where they raise trout which they release into the river. Fisherman line up every day in the dark before sunrise to claim their spot along the river bank. They have a little hotel and restaurant in the park which is really handy, and is where we stayed.

Here’s a little video I took of the river:

Thanks for all your good wishes  – I’m feeling much better today. Have a great day all!

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

Thank you Suzanne, you have reminded me of a trip my family took, when I was knee high to a grasshopper. We went to the fish hatchery and Roaring River, after going to Branson. Beautiful scenery, water so clear you can see the fish. Congrats on your lovely video, I can hear the sounds of waterfalls and almost smell the fresh air!

I love waterfalls! I could sit and watch and listen to them all day. So it was a wonderful surprise to see your beautiful video this morning. Thank you for sharing.

I really enjoyed your video, Suzanne. Tell Harland I like his photo, too! For some reason, the Roaring River sounds familiar – must be because there’s one here in Oregon, in the mountains! It looks quite different, though beautiful, as well!

I’m really glad to know you’re feeling better!

When we drive out in the forest and come upon a little waterfall, I always tell my husband I want to take it home and put it in our back yard! 🙂
