I’m Back!

Sorry for my recent silence, but I’ve been taking a little break from the blog, and getting caught up on other stuff in my life. I’ve been doing some fall housecleaning, some canning, helping with the soybean harvest, some crocheting too, and lots of other things.

And – we took a trip to northwest Arkansas to see the fall foliage and visit the elk herd in Boxley Valley and just got back last night.  I have lots of pics to go through and video too. I’ll be sharing all of it with you soon.

Here’s a sample:

That’s Harland standing out on Hawksbill Crag. It’s a 2 mile round trip walk on a rocky trail to get there, but the view is well worth it.

More to come!

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

Beautiful! I hadn’t even noticed Harland til I read that he was there! And I agree with Doe, I would be afraid to stand there, but it makes for a great photo.

Welcome back, Suzanne. I guess by now you can tell how spoiled we all are by your pics and stories and that you were greatly missed. That being said, I’m glad you had a little respite, and it sounds like you enjoyed some time doing other things for awhile. That’s a great picture of the colors of fall……..and of your very brave hubby!

So glad you are back and you had a nice trip…great photo. I knew it was Harland the second I saw the photo. Look forward to seeing more of your photos. Fall is a beautiful time to photograph as well. I found some good things to photograph a couple weeks ago. Phil said it would have been prettier in the spring but that’s fine. We will just go back in the spring sometime! Another excuse to go back!

  21. I’m glad you’re back. I was worried.
