Muffin:  A little further down please.

Kitty:  Here?

Muffin:  Well…no…a little higher…

Kitty:  Here?

Muffin:  No, not quite. Here, I’ll roll over on my back.

Kitty:  Ok, how’s that?

Muffin:  Umm….no….that’s not working.  I’ll roll over again.

Kitty:  OH REALLY!!  Ok, how about here?

Poor Kitty. Who would think just a few weeks ago that a new kitten would come into her house and use her as both a mattress and a personal groomer.

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

You do realise that if Kitty didn’t have a hairball issue before, she will now!!!

I am thinking that because you found Mr Muffin and his siblings orphaned he is making up for lost grooming time that his mama would have provided by having Kitty taking over the chore. How fortunate that Kitty is only too willing to fill the role!!

I look forward to these posts everyday. There are too many sad animal stories out there that break my heart. They way you rescued those kittens, and seeing Kitty and Muffin bond, just makes me so happy. Thanks for that!

I can’t believe that you even captured the purring in that video. Honstly — any time I need cheering up or a good laugh, I’m going to beat it right over here and enjoy these two all over again.

I think Santa came early at your house!

  8. So glad to see the two are getting along so well. This is great!!!

Looks like Muffin has landed in Kitty Heaven! He’s at the kittycat spa!
He may be a bit spoiled by all of Kitty’s grooming!

I once had 2 cats, a brother and sister, and the girl always cleaned the boy, but he NEVER reciprocated! But I’ve had friends whose cats would always clean each other!

I love how Kitty and Muffin have bonded! So fun to see their relationship develop on your blog!
Bless you for rescuing those kittens!
