Merry Christmas To All

What sudden blaze of song
Spreads o’er th’ expanse of Heaven?
In waves of light it thrills along,
Th’ angelic signal given –
“Glory to God!” from yonder central fire
Flows out the echoing lay beyond the starry choir;

Like circles widening round
Upon a clear blue river,
Orb after orb, the wondrous sound
Is echoed on for ever:
“Glory to God on high, on earth be peace,
And love towards men of love–salvation and release.”

-From the poem entitled “Christmas Day” by John Keble (1792 – 1866)

I hope this day finds you well and in the company of those you love.

Merry Christmas to all!

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

  2. Merry Christmas Suzanne! I am so glad I found you through blogland. It has been so fun to get to know you a little through your blog. I have really enjoyed learning about your farm and all the goings on. I feel like we are friends even though we have never met. I hope you and your husband Harland have a really wonderful Christmas…oh, and of course Kitty too! We are having a white Christmas and it is currently snowing…do you have snow as well this Christmas?

      Hi Bonnie,
      Me too. Am so glad I found your blog. I feel we have a lot in common, and even though we’ve not met, I do think of you as a friend. We had snow here yesterday, but most of it has melted off now. Harland and I had a quiet Christmas at home today, which was nice for a change this year. Merry Christmas to you and yours Bonnie!
