Fireworks In August
Ok, so these pics weren’t taken in August, they were taken on July 4, but I didn’t have anything ready for you for today as I’m getting ready for house-guests, and am really busy cleaning and such. So I was looking over some pics last night I took earlier in the summer and realized I never shared these with you. So, besides the July 4 pics that I did share with you taken in Goff, Kansas, we also attended a fireworks display in Robinson Kansas, and the pics I took that night are the ones I never showed you.
We got there early, and scouted around town looking for the perfect viewing spot.
We finally decided on the cemetery which is situated on a high hill overlooking the town.
Is it odd to photograph fireworks from a cemetery? You bet.
But not for us because we do lots of odd things, so we didn’t give it a thought.
Bet you’ve never seen fireworks over a cemetery before.
Well, now you have.

I love the pictures from the cemetary. Unusual, yes but what a nice contrast.
Thanks Rita. That’s the word I was looking for: contrast. It’s a strange contrast.
Strange but nice. Enjoy your company 🙂
Thanks Tina! Have a great weekend!
Ha ha! Too funny! I did the same thing. When I was in Missouri my daughter and I went with my sister. There were so many people everywhere that we decided to check out the cemetery. What was funny is that we weren’t the only people there.
Us too. There were probably about 15-20 other people there.
I don’t imagine any of the occupants would mind having the company.
We didn’t think so. And they were very quiet too. 🙂
It must have been the perfect spot to take your photos ’cause they sure am perdy!
Goregous pics. Nope don’t think it’s odd as I like cemetaries & will stop & check the old ones out.
Me too. Love looking at old headstones. Sad when I find ones of babies and children. Infant mortality was so high years ago.
Amazing shots! very cool!! Hey, being odd is an awesome thing and I love being odd myself. It’s fun to think of people scratching their head with that weird look on their face. Ha Ha!
True Bonnie. Being different from the crowd is what makes life interesting.
