Kitty’s On A Roll

Here’s how to relax at the end of a long day of sleeping.

Beg your human to let you outside and then immediately make a run for the steps at the end of the sidewalk. Flop over onto your back.

Feel your spine stretching out?

All the way now. Even your toes, spread them out too. Reach…REACH!

Now, slide on down to the next step.

Now rub your cheek and shoulder along the warm concrete.   Ahhh…….

Reeeelax…. Become one with the concrete….

Time out.  I hear something. Could be a wild animal. I have to keep a look-out you know.

Ok, the coast is clear. Back to business.

Drop back over onto your side.

Get as much contact as you can with the concrete.

This also creates a low profile and makes it harder for predators to see you. Being well-camouflaged as I am, I don’t have to worry being seen, but I thought I’d demonstrate this tactic anyway for your benefit.

And that’s all there is to it. Now don’t you feel better?

I’m all ready to face the grueling evening ahead. I have so much to do and so little time.

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

You have just gotta love the way cats stretch. They take it to the upper level, you can just feel your back pop and your whole being go…AHHHHH.

  4. Oh my cute is that! I love that first shot. I can’t believe she flops down the steps like that! So cool!
