Good Friday?

So as a Christian pondering the Crucifixion today, you may be wondering, why Good Friday?

Well, the word Good comes from an old English word for God.

So Good Friday = God’s Friday.

A Blessed God’s Friday to you all today.

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain,
One day they nailed Him to die on the tree.
    Suffering anguish, despised and rejected,
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He!

Living, He loved me. Dying, He saved me.
Buried, He carried my sins far away.
    Rising, He justified, freely forever.
One day He’s coming, oh glorious day!
