All Grown Up

Our little guy will be one year old sometime this month. When we found him on Thanksgiving day of last year, we figured he was about two months old, making his birthday sometime in September.

At eight weeks old, he could sit in the palm of my hand:

He’s grown somewhat since then:

Kitty used to be much bigger than Muffin:

And now, he’s bigger than her:

He’s been eating kitten food since we got him, but yesterday I bought our big boy his first bag of adult cat food.

Adult???   How can this be?

Cattle, corn, wheat, beans, mud, snow, ice, and drought. Plenty of fresh air and quiet. Our life is sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes joyous, but never boring.

Be sure to feed them some wet food too as a whole diet of dried food isn’t good for anyone. They need “treats” also –fresh chicken, etc.

What happened to the babies you were feeding?

    • Suzanne says:

One of them was adopted, but I was never able to find a home for the other and she had to be taken to our local humane society. They said they will let me know if they don’t find a home for him.

He really did grow, didn’t he! When I first saw the picture of him on the dryer, I thought “How elegant he looks!” Then I came to the next picture, and just had to chuckle!

How is the siding project coming along?

    • Suzanne says:

Almost all the windows are done, and we should be able to start putting the siding on this week. Will update soon!

I love the places they find to nap. How can he look so comfortable, draped over that shelf? And it’s amazing to see him bigger than Kitty. Clearly, he found a place to thrive!

Love him! Beautiful tail all draped out behind him. I cannot believe he is so much bigger than Ms. Kitty. You are a good Mama.
